Podcast: How Neuro Therapy is Helping Golfers Play Better

Interview Transcript Below:

Interviewer

We have a new sponsor involved with the Country Club National Championship, which is coming up in a few weeks at the Celebration Golf Club in Walt Disney World. Deny, for one, cannot wait. Now you can get all the information at ccncgolf.com. Now the sponsor is Arpwave. Their founder and CEO is Dennis Thompson, who joins us now. Dennis, I always struggle to find the right words to describe ARPWave. So give us your Reader's Digest version of what ARP Wave is.

Denis Thompson

Well, Brian, thanks for having me here. The Reader's Digest version is that we created a tool that works in harmony with the brain's communication to the body and the device that we're going to be supplying all of the members of your tournament, is a device that's designed to prepare them to play golf and to recover them immediately after playing golf, they'll sleep with it to fully recover from a round. They'll never even know that they played a round a golf. This is the same technology that probably 750 NFL players use, and about 3000 other professional athletes use.

Interviewer

As you mentioned, each player at the Country Club National Championship will be getting the Flex Doctor device for the week. And I've seen firsthand how ARP Wave is beneficial to golfers. So what are the benefits besides helping the sore muscles that they will certainly have after playing that much golf? What will golfer see with the ARP Wave?

Denis Thompson

Well, I think the first thing they're going to see is that you've been in the golf game for a long, long time, and you know that technology and equipment has dramatically changed, and we're almost at the peak of what the equipment can do. The only way you're really going to make a noticeable change in a golfer is basically change the ability of the golfer to move more efficiently. When I talk to professionals, they say that usually when they're in a teaching environment that the majority of their players are unable to get to the proper position necessary to hit the golf ball in the most efficient manner.

This device instantly breaks that barrier and allows the muscle to lengthen. So the participants are going to see a dramatic change in the rotational ability that they have presently right now.

Interviewer

Well, and that translates to the all important swing speed. And I was skeptical when I heard, oh, yeah, we're going to increase swing speed huge just by using this device for a few minutes. And then I saw it happen on the practice tee. One player increased his swing speed by 13 miles an hour, which floored me. So I think our players are really going to enjoy having that ability on the practice tee. And like you said, at night to recover all through the week down in Orlando.

Now, if players or any athlete or any person is recovering from injury or surgery, ARP Wave has a bigger machine that works wonders. And you have a lot of world class athletes that have used it and are using it. Correct.

Denis Thompson

We do with our primary technology. It's called the RX 100. We've been doing this for 20 years. We kind of pioneered a very unique delivery mechanism before tele-medicine was even a word. 20 years ago, if you were told that you needed a knee surgery or a total knee replacement and you heard about us, we would say, "Look, Brian, I don't know if I can help you or not, but here's what I'm willing to do. I'll send you a $20,000 piece of medical equipment at no cost.  We'll spend an hour of our therapist's time with you at no cost. We'll do 1 hour of therapy, and at the end of that hour, you'll know, if we can help you or not."

Over the past 20 years, we've helped 500,000 people speed up their recovery from all types of injuries and surgery with better than a 95% success rate of eliminating pain. More importantly, in my world, eliminating atrophy, which means that when you get hurt, usually your body goes into an atrophic state, which means that the muscle loses strength and size.

The device is used in doctors offices all over the world.  It is primarily used as a therapeutic device. So if someone has a medical condition, such as they've been told they need back surgery or hip surgery or shoulder surgery or whatever, typically, we're able to resolve that without the surgical process.

Interviewer

Wow. As we've talked about, all participants at the Country Club National Championship will be getting a machine to use for the week now, if anybody else, any of our listeners want to try ARP Wave, how can they go about doing that?

Denis Thompson

Well, I think we'd like to offer every one of your listeners a No Risk Trial. What we say sounds too good to be true. You just said it yourself. You were probably over at Bridgewater and they were hitting off the track, man. And all of a sudden, the club head speeds are going off the chart. I can do that with a professional golfer. We have a lot of professional golfers, and you wouldn't think that you would be able to make a noticeable change in their swing speed immediately, and every single one of them increased their club head speed.

Why is that important? That's important because it tells you something's happening and it's happening very quickly. We want everybody listening, and certainly everybody that is going to be competing to be able to try this and be able to feel it for themselves, because then and only then are you going to understand all the benefits. Imagine if you're 50 or 60 years old right now, getting out of bed feeling the way you did at ten or 15 years old. That's what this technology does. The reason we have so many of the world's greatest athletes is not because it's used for therapy.

It's because of the way we keep them competing. Golf Digest did a study, I think it was about five or six years ago, and they found that 85% of all golfers play in some form of pain. That's insane. You can play this game of golf without pain. And more importantly, after a round fully recover, so you're never stiff or sore. That's what everybody is going to see. And for those who'd like to try it, just contact us, go to this link, arpwave.com/freetrial or just contact us at our corporate number 952-431-9708, and we'll get you a unit out. Let you try it and you be the judge. Proof is in the pudding.

Interviewer

That's great, Dennis, I really thank you for getting involved with the country club National Championship. The players are going to love having this available to them for the week. And I really look forward to seeing you again and your team in Orlando.

Denis Thompson

We'll all be down there. We'll be on the driving range. We'll also make available. I know some of the guys are going to be staying in B and B's, and if anybody wants us to come over and answer questions or show them on how to utilize the device, we're there. We're going to be handing them out to everybody. We're going to be giving them step by step directions on how to use it before, around, after around for sleeping purposes. We'll show them a variety of other uses for it.

And then if they have any questions, my team and I will be there. I know I'll be making a brief presentation before Fuzzy makes his. And so we're there to help you. We just want to make the game of golf pain free.

Interviewer

That's Dennis Thompson, the founder and CEO of ARPwave. And it truly is an amazing device, and that will do it for another edition of the Short Draft podcast. Thanks to Tim Diedrich and Dennis Thompson for joining me. And thank you for listening until next time. I'm Brian Hammond saying, keep it in the shortgrass.
