ARPwave Provider Spotlight: Mecca Integrated Medical

This month, we’re excited to spotlight Mecca Integrated Medical, a multidisciplinary practice in Fairfield, New Jersey, helping patients look, feel, and function their absolute best.

Serving Essex, Passaic, and Morris Counties since 2009, Mecca Integrated Medical provides non-surgical care for individuals dealing with acute and chronic conditions affecting the joints, muscles, and ligaments, as well as disc herniations and sports-related injuries.

Their rehabilitation team has incorporated ARPwave into its approach to help identify neuromuscular dysfunction, restore function, and provide care tailored to each patient.

Why Mecca Integrated Medical Chose ARPwave

Mecca Integrated Medical’s mission is simple: help patients look, feel, and function their absolute best.

That mission played an important role in the decision to incorporate ARPwave into the practice.

On the rehabilitation side, the team focuses on looking beyond symptoms to better understand what may be contributing to a patient’s limitations. ARPwave provides another tool for assessing and addressing the neuromuscular component of rehabilitation while working to improve muscle activation, strength, mobility, and function.

For the Mecca team, it’s not just about where someone is experiencing discomfort. It’s about looking at how the body is functioning as a whole and identifying areas that may be contributing to the problem.

A More Individualized Approach to Rehabilitation

Since incorporating ARPwave, the team has been able to add another layer to its individualized approach to patient care.

Rather than focusing solely on the area where a patient is experiencing symptoms, ARPwave allows the team to investigate areas of neuromuscular dysfunction that may be affecting movement and function.

From there, treatment can focus on improving muscle activation, strength, mobility, and overall function based on the needs of the individual.

Most importantly, ARPwave gives the Mecca team another way to personalize rehabilitation and work toward helping patients return to the activities that matter to them.
